In short: Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or share your personal information. Your workouts, weight logs, and athlete profiles are completely private and local to your device.

Information You Provide

When you use The Iron Ledger, you create and store the following data locally on your device:

• Athlete Profiles: Names and profile pictures you choose to add
• Workout Data: Exercise names, sets, reps, weights, and workout notes
• Weight Progress: Body weight measurements, body fat percentage, and notes
• Personal Records: Your best performances for each exercise

What We DON'T Collect

• Email addresses or contact information (except for subscription management)
• Location data
• Device identifiers
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Advertising identifiers
• Health data beyond what you manually enter

How Your Data is Stored

Local Storage

All workout data, athlete profiles, and weight logs are stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage (AsyncStorage). This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not uploaded to any servers
• Is not accessible to us or any third parties
• Remains on your device until you delete the app or manually delete the data

No Cloud Storage (Currently)

At this time, The Iron Ledger does not offer cloud backup or sync. All data is stored locally. Cloud backup is planned as a future premium feature, and users will be explicitly notified and asked for permission before any data is uploaded.

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

For premium subscriptions, we use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect:

• Apple ID information for purchase verification
• Subscription status and purchase history
• Device identifiers for subscription management

Apple App Store

When you download the app or make purchases, Apple's App Store collects information according to their privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Data Security

We take your security seriously:

• Local Storage: Your data is stored using secure device storage mechanisms
• No Transmission: Since data isn't transmitted, there's no risk of interception
• Device Security: Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, etc.)
• Open Source: Our code is open source for transparency and security auditing

Your Rights and Choices

Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Edit or Delete: Modify or remove any workout, weight entry, or athlete profile at any time within the app
• Complete Deletion: Delete all data by uninstalling the app
• No Account Required: No need to create an account or verify email

Subscription Management

Premium subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID:

• Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal
• Manage subscriptions: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions

Children's Privacy

The Iron Ledger is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device, parents have full control over their children's use of the app.

Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device indefinitely until you:

• Manually delete specific entries within the app
• Uninstall the application
• Reset your device

We do not retain any data on our servers because we don't collect or store data externally.

International Users

Since The Iron Ledger stores all data locally on your device, there are no international data transfers. Your data never leaves your device, regardless of your location.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Significant changes will be communicated through:

• In-app notification
• Update notes in the App Store
• GitHub repository announcements

Future Features

We're planning to add these features in the future:

• Cloud Backup (Premium): Optional cloud storage for data backup and sync
• CSV Export (Premium): Export your data to CSV files

Important: Before implementing any feature that involves data transmission or cloud storage, we will:

• Update this privacy policy
• Notify users within the app
• Request explicit permission
• Make it completely optional
